I did pregnancy yoga with this lovely lady, she is a Midwife and her classes felt like a warm hug. So if anyone is pregnant out there, I would thoroughly recommend Lauren.

Lauren is a true gem and her classes are fantastic! They help your body and mind to prepare for labour. You exercise while paying attention to crucial parts of your body during pregnancy, learn breathing techniques, relax and spend time with lovely ladies. Part of each class is dedicated to a topic which changes every week and Lauren shares her mum/midwife/yoga teacher knowledge and experience. It cannot get better than this. Lauren is a very caring and supportive person who makes you feel very welcome (especially if it's your first yoga class or pregnancy and you have no clue what to expect). I recommend Lauren's classes to any pregnant lady because they are truly outstanding!

Excellent class for relaxation, preparing the mind and body for birth and discussing birth related topics. Lauren has a wealth of knowledge on pregnancy and birth and classes are informal and welcoming, and you get tea and a biscuit!

I couldn't believe my luck when I discovered lovely Lauren's yoga class and I looked forward to yoga night throughout my pregnancy.
In each session Lauren provides the opportunity to meet other expectant mums, a yoga class with the perfect level of challenge that contributed to my fit & healthy pregnancy and an informative talk at the end (with a cup of herbal tea and a biscuit or two!)

"So glad to have happened upon this class!! Really professional, Lauren is extremely welcoming and lovely, and love the fact it is yoga with a focus on giving birth, this will be my second baby/birth and already learnt lots of new things in just one session! Can't wait to go again."

"To anyone who is pregnant, this yoga birth has been one of the best activities I've done throughout my pregnancy. It's really helped me prepare for labour, keep active and given me a lot of knowledge about all stages of labour. I couldn't recommend it enough! Good luck to all the ladies I've been attending the classes with. Only a couple of weeks left for me now, hopefully I can put all of my yoga birth into practice. Thanks Lauren xx"

Lauren's classes are excellent. I especially like the chance to meet other mums and the lovely relaxation at the end. Lauren is really friendly and makes everyone feel relaxed and welcome. I also suffered with pelvic girdle pain and Lauren helped me to adapt the exercises so I could still join in which I really appreciated. I will miss these classes now my baby is born!

Birth Story

I started these classes to feel like I was doing something positive for my baby and to learn how I could do some additional exercise techniques while pregnant. I didn't realise what a huge role in my birth story these classes would be. Lauren is absolutely fantastic and the breathing techniques practised in the class where what got me through my labour.
I am not one of these people who wanted a natural birth, I said the whole time I would have any and all painkillers to make sure I was in as little pain as possible. While I felt flexible on my birth preferences, I'd said to my husband the whole was through that the number 1 rule was "no pain". However when baby was on the way, it was very fast and by the time I got to hospital there was only time for gas and air, as I was 8cm when I got there. I had used the breathing techniques Lauren taught while I was at home, I could hear Lauren's voice in my head with each contraction. I'd have never thought I could get so far dialated on my own breathe! And then after a little gas and air and more breathing (and a bit of swearing and screaming) my son was in my arms.
I felt like a champion for doing so much of the birth without painkillers and id have had a much harder time if I didn't have the techniques I learnt from these classes. I'd have certainly panicked more which would have made the delivery much harder. The classes also helped with being able to poo after having him. (I'd had a few sticthes and was apprehensive about ever opening my bowels ever again!)
The mini antenatal classes at the end of each session was when I was given some of the most useful information about pain relief (not that I used that in the end!), cord clamping, breastfeeding, ect I had. I got more out of those end of the class chats than all the other antenatal classes I went to put together.
I would highly recommend any pregnant ladies getting themselves along to these classes. What started off as me wanting to feel like I was ticking a 'I'm doing some physical activity while pregnant' turned out to be the best and most useful thing I did when pregnant and it played such a huge part of my successful birth story.
